The MMDA K-9 Corps’ sole focus is to develop search and rescue canines from volunteers who want to teach their dogs the basics of search and rescue. Our training method is composed of structured learning exercises for both the handler and the canine.
Our goal is to prepare these Canine Search Teams for deployment.

Our senior handlers and trainers are all Canine Search Specialists certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security.

We specialize in disaster search dog and tracking, cadaver scent detection, stability and agility.
