On November 14, 2020, Malvar PNP through the Malvar Disaster Management Council and the Philippine Air Force requested the assistance of MMDA K-9 Corps to find a missing person named Michael Gasga who were swept by flashfloods on the eve of the arrival of Typhoon Ulysses.
