On July 28-30, 2022, a 6-man team from MMDA K-9 Corps with Muntinlupa Search and Rescue K-9 were deployed to the Province of Abra to help in the aftermath of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the province the morning of July 27, 2022.
With the help of our K-9 teams, the remains of Marcos Barreyro, 38 years old from Sitio Pacpaca, Luba, Louie Balais Dining, 21 years old, Jack Balais Gamengan, 17 years old, Angelo Agaming Badi, 15 years old, all from Sitio Madago, Manabo, Abra were found on July 29, 48 hours after the earthquake. They were on their way to work when the the tremor struck that caused a massive landslide.
